Fun fact: The Matterhorn in the Alps is best known as the perfectly shaped mountain that divides Italy and Switzerland. (Also known as the "Toblerone mountain"). It is a picture-perfect mountain, with steep faces, snowcaps and incredible scenery. The mountain has trails at an intermediate level, with the easiest corner ligature route using a mix of trails and a lift to get you to just under 9,843 feet above sea level. It is a challenging trek due to the heavy presence of snow and ice – only for those who are seriously prepared with the right trekking equipment and sufficient experience.
